The spooktacular raceday or Two Year Olds Day, billed as both by Newmarket Racecourses, was held on 24 October 2018.
Skymax, winner of the 3.45pm feature race
The feature race was the British Stallion Studs EBF Nursery for future stayers run over 10 furlongs. The winner was Skymax, ridden by Harry Bentley, from Fearless Warrior, a Sea the Stars colt entered for the Derby, ridden by Oisin Murphy, both trained by Ralph Beckett. Pattie with Gérard Mossé up on Newmarket Heath
In the 4.20pm AR Legal Fillies' Handicap run over a mile there was a photo finish with Pattie, ridden by Gérard Mossé and trained by Mick Channon, winning from Contrive, ridden by David Egan and trained by Roger Varian. (Downloadable video of closing stages, 23.8Mb, 25 seconds).
